Safety: Our First Priority
The most important task that Pozee Playzle staff is charged with is to ensure the health and safety of each and every child within our centers. Pozee Playzle management and quality teams have worked to develop staunch safety procedures and standards to make sure every aspect of a child’s day with us is safe and fun. Constant quality review, random quality visits and random audits by the Department of Children and Families ensure that our safety procedures are second to none.
Secure Entryways
The only entrance into the Land of Pozee Playzle is through a secure door that can only be accessed by authorized center personnel. There is no way for unauthorized individuals to enter the facility without prior clearance and without being escorted by a staff member at all times.
Child Check-in and Check-out
Once children are checked into school for the day using our reception check-in software, parents are allowed to escort them to their classroom.
During check-out, only preauthorized adults are allowed to check-out children. A comprehensive file of all individuals authorized for pick-up is kept by the center director. Additionally, there is a four digit PIN number assigned to each child that must be entered to complete check-out. Without this number, children will not be allowed to leave with an individual, even if they are on the authorized list.
Online Video Viewing
Pozee Playzle has partnered with the widely-acclaimed WatchMeGrow to provide secure, live streaming video viewing of children from any location using a computer. To access this service, parents must register and be given a secure log-in.
Staff Emergency Medical Training
All Pozee Playzle staff members are required to complete CPR and First aide training. All certifications are kept current.
Onsite Nurse’s Station
Each Pozee Playzle location houses an on-site nurses station which is staffed with a registered nurse to attend to any illness or injuries which may occur. Each center nurse is familiar with the medical histories of our children and is in charge of medication administration, if prescribed by a physician.
Visitors
Occasionally, visitors may come to see Pozee Playzle for tours, quality audits and special programs. All visitors are required to check-in with reception and be escorted by center staff at all times during their visit. Photo identification is required to be kept on file for all visitors.
Medical Safety
All adults working at Pozee Playzle, must complete state-mandated medical screening and are not permitted to work while ill.
Medical history forms are kept for all children and health records of immunizations and special needs are kept up to date as well.
Furniture and Equipment
All furniture and equipment within our centers are appropriately sized for children. We take care to make sure fixtures cannot be tipped over and to remove any sharp edges and corners. All classrooms are laid out to best promote safety and all toys are screened for potential hazards prior to being introduced to our environment. Any broken/unsafe equipment is removed immediately and replaced.
Cleanliness
All surfaces within our centers are cleaned multiple times per day by Pozee Playzle staff using a state-approved cleaning solvent. Any toys which children may put in their mouths are cleaned between uses and all other toys are cleaned daily.
Pozee Playzle promotes healthy hand-washing in our students and our staff leads this initiative by setting a great example. Hand washing is performed before and after a plethora of activities including, but not limited to: outside play, mean times, art projects, etc.
