After School Enrichment
Pozee Playzle teachers institute a scientifically sound curriculum rooted in current research. The Land of Pozee Playzle’s™ approach empowers children to construct their own knowledge in ways most meaningful to them and because we know that children learn in their own unique way, we provide an enriched environment, actively engage them, and empower them to explore, stretch, and imagine. We provide the main ingredients to growing and learning—time and space— and we do so in the spirit of love, comfort and caring. Every child is a scientist in the crib, naturally curious about the wonder of his or her new surroundings. Our curriculum stimulates the natural thinking, inquiry, and natural curiosity about the world around them. Intergrated into the learning are exercises designed to promote environmental awareness. Using this comprehensive curriculum prepares our children for a successful transition to Kindergarten and beyond.
Teachers respect parents as the child’s first teacher and involve parents in every aspect of the curriculum. Most importantly, this curriculum promotes family involvement in the learning process. On-going communication between parents and teachers is extremely important. Children with involved parents have better grades, better attitudes and higher self-esteem, reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; thus parents are viewed as partners and collaborators.
The proprietary curriculum is authored by early education specialists and recognized educational leaders. The curriculum addresses the needs of all children: socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively, and follows the guide-lines set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Affection Connection:™
At The Land of Pozee Playzle™ we have established our Affection Connection™ system. As children are enrolled into the learning center they are assigned a primary teacher's aid, who works with the same children from the age of 6 weeks to three years old. These caregivers move with the children as they progress through each age group. Children develop strong bonds with their teacher's aid in a loving and nurturing environment and this system provides stability and a sense of security.
The Learning Carousel:
The brain is more receptive to information and pays closer attention to information when things are new and different. For that reason, during this time period, children will rotate to a different classroom and to a different teacher. Teachers will teach developmentally appropriate lessons that actively engage children in a wide variety of experiences: child-initiated, teacher-directed, large group, small group, indoor, outdoor, quiet and active. Children are allowed to practice and reflect on what they have learned before moving to another room.
