Our Classrooms

Nursery/Infant Care

The Nursery is available for care of children ages 6 weeks through 11 months. Our Nursery program is designed to provide each child with a feeling of warmth, confidence, and security. The schedule is a flexible/ individual one, which allows the staff to spend quality time with each child. We believe that through this nurturing interaction, along with encouragement and lots of love, children will experience the care that is essential to their growth and development.


Toddlers

Care is available for children ages 12 months through 23 months. Within this environment, the emphasis will be on initial acquisition of basic self-help skills. The children are engaged in activities where process is stressed rather than outcome. Through the use of interest areas, children will experience dramatic play, music and movement, games, manipulatives, and art projects along with various other activities. Students are engaged daily in both indoor and outdoor activities with the inclusion of small and large group experiences.


Twos

Two-Year Old classes are available for care of children ages 2 to 3. The emphasis at this age level is to expand language development and to encourage socialization in a group. While there is ample attention given to mastery and refinement of vital skills that were introduced in the toddler classrooms, the Twos program emphasizes practice of important social skills, such as cooperation and teamwork, taking turns, and sharing.


Preschool - Threes and Fours

The emphasis of our Preschool program is to provide challenging activities designed to meet the individual needs of children during this active time of growth and development, in addition to promoting an enthusiastic and receptive attitude toward school. By combining a diverse, academic program with a healthy, socially oriented one, we create a stimulating fun-filled day for the children. To provide additional stimulation, the children will go to subject-matter classes conducted by carefully selected teachers who have specific certification/ interest in a discipline. Within this room, interest areas will also be utilized to engage the children in separate activities throughout the day. The children will participate daily in both indoor and outdoor activities with the inclusion of small and large group activities.

Within our three year-olds’ learning environment, vital learning objectives are introduced. Important educational themes are carried over into the four year-old classroom to ensure mastery and school readiness.
